Extended Producer Responsibility

As per the Plastic Waste Management Rules 2016 by The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Extended Producer’s Responsibility or EPR makes a manufacturer responsible for managing plastic waste after a consumer has used their product. The producers and importers of plastic as well as brand owners that use plastic for packaging are now accountable for managing the end waste. They must treat, recycle or reuse the products after a consumer has disposed them off. At ReCircle, we don’t only offset an equivalent amount of plastic you generate but also certify you in compliance with Plastic Waste Management Rules 2016.

How We Work

We guide you on registrations with Central Pollution Control Board or State Pollution Control Board and prepare the action plan on your behalf.

Our resource partners collect the agreed amount and grade of plastic waste from the geographies decided.

The plastic scrap is dispatched to CPCB-authorized recyclers and end-of-life disposal agencies.

We provide EPR certification and a document of proof for the volume of plastic waste collected from you on a monthly basis. This data is also available to be viewed on our dashboard.

Quarterly or annual reports are submitted to you and to the Pollution Control Board on your behalf.
