The Helping Hands Foundation works in conjunction with Tata Memorial Hospital which being a government hospital cannot solicit funds for its projects. Helping Hands Foundation (HHF) is a zero cost NGO and works primarily with TMH Pediatrics and since our involvement the number of donors has taken a significant jump. Our key projects are Accommodation and The Survivor Project for the children who beat cancer.
The Accommodation project is strictly for children who are undergoing free /subsidized treatment for cancer and are forced to stay on the footpath. We at Helping Hands raise the funds (4500 per family per month for stay at a dharamshala). Accommodation being a cash only project, is challenging to sustain therefore we would request your support.
The disbursement of funds is done via TMH .The Helping Hands Foundation is a purely fundraising entity. Accommodation not only helps in faster recovery medically but also has a positive impact on healing and keeps the family unit together with dignity and respect. It prevents abandonment of treatment due to poor living conditions on the footpath and various infections which nullify the effort put towards treatment. The Survivor Project aims at rehabilitation of the children back into mainstream society to continue their education, annual testing and treatment for recurring tumors. This also aims at helping their transition into a normal healthy life via counselling. Your association, sponsorship and support will help us save and rehabilitate many lives.
